Peter’s has struck a licensing deal to launch a new range of Bisto pies.

Working in partnership with ‘The Nation’s Favourite’ gravy brand owner Premier Foods, Peter’s will manufacture a new range of frozen Bisto pies to be launched in foodservice.

The 235g pies will be available in perforated heatproof film in four great varieties, including Chicken & Mushroom, Steak, Steak & Kidney and Minced Beef & Onion.

These traditional fillings will be covered in a delicious gravy delivering a real meaty flavour, encased in a shortcrust pastry base topped with a puff pastry lid.

James Osgood, Central Foodservice Sales Director for Peter’s said: “We are delighted to launch this new pie range with Bisto, the UK’s number 1 gravy brand that has featured in home-cooked meals for generations and is bought by 58% of British households every year .

“The delicious core flavours of the range and the strength of the brand make the range an attractive alternative in the foodservice market for caterers, fast food outlets, chips shops and sporting venues.”

The range will be available through wholesalers in Bisto branded heatproof film for ease of preparation, and frozen for maximum shelf life.

Conveniently, the Bisto pie range can be oven cooked or microwaved from frozen, keeping waste to an absolute minimum.

Paul Knapp, Bisto Brand Manager said: “Bisto continuously keeps up with modern family life in order to create flavoursome and convenient products the nation will love.

“The brand is delivering value growth ahead of the market within Flavourings & Seasonings , and Bisto is now enjoyed in 1.2 billion meals every year .”

“This launch is the next step in giving consumers the opportunity to enjoy their favourite gravy as part of a hearty meal away from home.”

The Bisto pie range by Peter’s is now available in case sizes of 12. Contact James Osgood on 02920 853200 for details.
