Bluebirds fan wins once in a lifetime Peter’s “Meet the Players” competition
Peter’s competition winner Daniel Oliver won the opportunity of a lifetime by getting up close to the players and manager of highflying Championship side Cardiff City.
The prize offered by Cardiff City family stand sponsor & Caerphilly based pastry baker Peter’s, included a tour of the training ground, a chance to watch the team train, refreshments at the top class facilities and an opportunity to meet the players.
Daniel Oliver, Peter’s “Meet the Player” competition winner, “I was delighted to find out that I had won this prize. I’ve been a Bluebirds supporter since I was very young and my dad used to take me to the matches at Ninian Park. To come here today, see the training facilities and get up close to the players was an amazing experience.”
Not only did Daniel, who was joined by fellow City supporter & dad Michael Oliver, get the top class tour, but he also got to sit down, enjoy a coffee and have a unique 20-minute Q&A with Cardiff Manager Malky Mackay.
“Malky is a great guy and was brilliant in the Q&A! I never thought in a million years that I would have a chance to meet with and talk openly about Cardiff City, with the Manager of the team I have loved and supported for many years. It just felt unreal at times, an experience that my dad and I will never forget. A huge thank you to the players, Cardiff City staff, Peter’s, and Malky in particular – what a day!”
This unique prize also included a pair of tickets to the Cardiff City vs Bristol City match on the 16th February.
