Peters launch new Premier Pies to warm up winter
Pie fans are in for a tasty treat with the launch of Peter’s new and improved Premier Pies this January.
The 235g pie range, featuring improved flavour profiles and a new pastry crimp, include: the Premier Steak, Premier Steak & Ale, Premier Steak & Kidney and Premier Roast Chicken.
Clare Morgan, Marketing Controller at Peter’s, “Each Premier Pie have been individually developed by Peter’s top pie-ologists, with the new recipes ensuring our pies are the tastiest in the market. We’ve also developed new modern packaging that helps bring the products to life whilst reflecting the Peter’s brand values of ‘fun, surprising and upbeat’.
The range also includes a new Ham, Cheese, Leek and Potato pie, as voted for by the visitors to the Peter’s stand at the Royal Welsh 2012. The pie uses only the tastiest Welsh ingredients including delicious Pembrokeshire ham, smothered in a rich creamy sauce made using extra mature Welsh cheese. The “Welsh Pie” is generously filled with potatoes and, of course to top the ingredients list, the good old Welsh leek.
“We think our consumers will love the new pies whilst enticing new younger consumers to the Peter’s brand.” added Morgan.
The launch of the new pies will include a 6 week “on air” radio campaign with Real Radio Wales, product sampling across Welsh supermarkets, a social media campaign on Facebook & Twitter and a surprise experiential event in early February.
The Premier Pies are available in all major Welsh supermarkets, including chip shops, local independent retailers and stadia throughout the UK.
