Premier Pie Maker Preparing for a Premier Season with CCFC
Premier pie maker Peter’s is celebrating Cardiff City’s Premier League Season storming first home game victory against the mighty Manchester City, confirming its sponsorship of the club’s 6,000 capacity Family Stand for the second year.
Like Caerphilly-based Peter’s, the club has grown from strength to strength and has a huge and loyal fanbase, having been named Family Club of the Year at the Football League Awards 2013 in March. Peter’s partnership with Cardiff City has been nominated for Club Sponsorship / Partnership of the Year at the upcoming Football Business Awards 2013.
To date, the bakery has fed over 4,000 away day fans with their favourite savouries on the club’s official coaches and has engaged over 5,000 fans in family-focussed match day experiences including hot-shot football and interaction with Peter’s popular mascot Pete the Pie.
Clare Morgan, Peter’s Marketing Director said: “We were thrilled to be the club’s family stand partners when the club was named Family Club of the Year and to have moved into the Premier League with Cardiff is exciting. “Last season, we treated fans to 10,000 Peter’s products through our sampling activity and our relationship with the club has gone from strength to strength. Like the fans, we are looking forward to this forthcoming season and to being able to see Cardiff playing the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.”
Peter’s recently ran a ‘Money Can’t Buy’ competition to win the chance to meet the manager, Malky Mackay and 3,500 diehard fans jumped at the chance to enter.
The bakery already has powerful sporting links and is an official partner of the WRU and supplies the Millennium Stadium along with the likes of Championship clubs Reading and Birmingham City.
