Run 4 Wales receive hearty donation from Peter’s Food Service
Run 4 Wales volunteers were left with full and happy tums as they supported this years’ Cardiff Half Marathon, thanks to a hearty donation from Wales’ favourite pie maker.
Bedwas-based Peter’s Food Service donated hundreds of products to feed the 400 plus army of volunteers who will be making sure the event runs safely and smoothly for the 20,000 runners taking part in one of the UK’s biggest street races.
Peter’s Commercial Director, James Osgood, said: “We want to congratulate everyone who ran in the Cardiff Half Marathon and all the volunteers who did a great job in helping out and making sure the day was a success.”
Matt Newman, Chief Executive at Run 4 Wales, added: “We’d like to thank Peter’s for donating all the products for our volunteers. We value highly their hard work throughout race day and it was great to be able to offer them a tasty treat to keep them going!”
The Cardiff Half Marathon, held on Sunday 4th October, is the second largest half marathon in the UK and saw over 22,000 individuals take part. An estimated £2.4million was raised for some 800 charities.
