Wallich receives food donations from Peter’s

Residents at a Cardiff-based homeless shelter received a welcome gift when Wales’ premier pie maker, Peter’s Pies, dropped off free pasties and pies for them to enjoy on Wednesday.

Staff at the Wallich, which provides shelter and support for those living on the streets across Wales, were delighted with the donation enabling them to provide residents with a tasty meal.
Caerphilly-based Peter’s is committed to supporting local charities and organisations and runs such initiatives as ‘Slice of the Pie’ and ‘Peter’s Pot of Gold’ which sees funding given to deserving groups. The leading baker also frequently carries out product drops to charities like the Wallich.
James Osgood, commercial director at Peter’s Food Service, said: “It’s always a pleasure to reach out to the community and help in any way we can. The pie drop is simple a gesture to help and support the continued good work of the Wallich and it’s a delight if we can put a smile on someone’s face.”
